- NTO Door latch Safety Switch Failed or Misaligned
The safety switch is activated by the door latch.
When the latch presses against the switch lever, the switch is closed.
In the unlikely event the safety switch fails, it must be replaced.
1. Remove the front panel controller by taking out the 4 screws in each corner.
2. Tilt the panel forward to gain access to the interior. You will see the safety switch and interlock solenoid.
Remove the 2 screws to remove the switch. The two electrical leads (black and white) will have to be removed by
de-soldering them from the switch.
- Thermocouples
Thermocouples issues can arise from a faulty thermocouple, loose connection, or from a short to ground.
To check to see if the thermocouple is functioning correctly:
1. Ensure that the unit is a room temperature
2. Turn on the unit and wait until the unit is at the default display
3. The unit will prompt for the access code which is 5978.
5. Press option 5 on the menu for “System Constants”
7. The display will show the “Chamber Temperature and the Element temperature.
8. Both should show room temperature (~ 26⁰C or ~79⁰F).
- Test the Solid State Relay
To take this measurement,
Caution - Opening this tray with the power applied to the unit exposes you to dangerous high voltage. Only perform these operations if you are a qualified electrician.
1. Disconnect the power to the unit by removing the electrical plug from the wall outlet.
2. Remove the 9 Philipps screw from the front of the electrical tray. This will allow you to slide the tray out. There will be 5 phillips screws that hold the cover on the power tray. Remove these screws and lift the cover off.

1. To align the door latch or tighten the door latch or handle requires a thin wall deep well 11/16” socket.
2. To tighten the door latch arm if it is loose, insert socket in the hole provided in the door plug assembly. Position the latch and then tighten the nut by turning the nut clockwise.

2. Remove the 9 Philipps screw from the front 3. If the door handle is loose, you will need to remove:
a. The out nut holding the latch in place
b. The latch
c. The inner nut that us used to position the latch so it will align with the slot provided.
4. The two screws that hold the handle to the door assembly can be access either by using a xx nut driver or a medium sized flat head screw driver.
